Description

With face yoga you’ll learn how to achieve internal balance, release tension and strengthen your facial muscles.
Below are some of the things we work on:

  1. Lifting & toning the eyelids
  2. Boosting the circulation in the face, neck and shoulders
  3. Reducing stress wrinkles on the forehead, temples & around the eyes
  4. Reducing eye strain, tired eyes, dark circles & puffiness
  5. Improving facial symmetry
  6. Improving skin elasticity & tone
  7. Reducing headaches
  8. Improving eyesight
  9. Sculpting, lifting and toning the cheeks
  10. Reducing nasolabial folds
  11. Reducing wrinkles around the mouth area
  12. Plumping the lips
  13. Reducing the double chin
  14. Toning the neck and cleavage area
  15. Reducing pain and tension in the jaw
  16. Strengthening the tongue
  17. Better posture and head/ neck position
  18. Understanding the importance of breathing optimally and how it impacts our stress levels

All students fill out a health form before our class, so I can teach a personal and targeted session of a combination of techniques, that will support everyone. I will not bombard you with lots of exercises & information that will overwhelm you. In my experience this is NOT the best approach, since you will get confused, forget most of it, then stop doing it. The key is, learning a few exercises that are targeted for you, and practising them daily. Only then, can you improve your confidence in what you are doing and see visible results.

Zena Kidd-May’s approach on teaching face yoga, is much more than just reducing fine-lines and focusing on how to change what you don’t like on the outside. I take a holistic, targeted and long term approach on the full application of this truly ancient and workable practise. We target specific muscles of the face, head, neck and shoulders that may be causing pain, discomfort, and stress. I also, give tips and techniques for better posture, breathing pattern, advice on best facial oils to use, I share my own journey with face yoga (I am 55yrs old), best equipment to use and other super easy self-care tips which will help contribute to living and feeling better in your body and mind.
