What is the Yoga Core & Back Workshop?
This is a supportive, practical workshop designed to strengthen your whole core and care for your back. We work all the core muscles — top to bottom, front, back and sides — while learning how to engage them properly for everyday movement and long-term wellbeing.
Back care is becoming more essential in modern life. Many of us:
- Sit for long hours at desks
- Spend lots of time looking at laptops or mobile phones
- Move less than our bodies are designed to
It’s no surprise that chronic back pain is on the rise. This workshop gently addresses the habits and weaknesses that contribute to back discomfort.
A strong core supports your whole body and daily life. You may notice:
- Greater ease in everyday activities
- Improves strength ans stability
- Supports better posture
- Improved breathing
- Better digestion
- Smoother, more confident movement
- Enhanced performance in sports and exercise
- Reduced risk of injury
You can expect a balanced, accessible session that includes:
- Gentle warm-ups to prepare your body
- Targeted core-strengthening exercises
- Back-care movements and stretches
- Guidance on proper muscle engagement
- Breath awareness to support stability and ease
- Ball rolling to soften and relaxed the mind, breath and body at the end of the session
Everything is taught in a clear, step-by-step way, with options to suit different bodies and abilities.
Everyone is welcome, including:

You don’t need to be flexible or fit to take part — just willing to move and explore what your body can do.
No. The workshop is suitable for both newcomers and experienced practitioners. Movements are taught progressively, with modifications offered throughout.
If you have mild or occasional back discomfort, this workshop can be very supportive. If you have a diagnosed condition, recent injury, or severe pain, it’s best to check with your GP or physiotherapist first and let me know before the session.
