Meet Zena Kidd-May
Zena Kidd-May is a yoga teacher, face yoga teacher and holistic health coach based near Oxford in Oxfordshire, with more than 25 years of teaching experience.
She teaches small group yoga classes and private sessions from her studio near Oxford, and also offers online face yoga programmes and holistic health coaching. Through yoga, movement, breathwork and practical lifestyle habits, Zena helps people build strength, flexibility and long-term wellbeing.
My Story
My journey into yoga began with curiosity.
In 2003 I was attending a yoga class at my local gym in London, but something about it felt quite superficial. I sensed there was far more depth to yoga than what I was experiencing, and I wanted to understand its philosophy and traditional teachings more fully.
That curiosity led me to travel to the Bahamas to complete my teacher training with the Sivananda organisation at their Ashram. Immersing myself in the traditional teachings of yoga was a turning point and changed the way I understood movement, breath and wellbeing.
What began as a personal exploration soon became a lifelong path of learning and teaching.
For more than 25 years I have been sharing yoga with my students and continuing to deepen my understanding of health and wellbeing.
My Approach
My teaching blends traditional yoga with a modern understanding of movement and health.
In my classes we work on building strength, improving mobility, calming the nervous system and developing greater awareness of the body. The aim is not perfection in poses, but helping people move with more ease, confidence and resilience in everyday life.
I believe yoga should be practical, accessible and supportive for the body at every stage of life.
Who I Work With
Many of my students come to yoga because they want to feel stronger, more flexible and less stressed in their daily lives.
Others are looking for a way to reconnect with their bodies, move more mindfully and develop habits that support their long-term health and wellbeing.

A Few Things You Might Not Know About Me
- I believe health and wellbeing should be simple and sustainable - Small daily habits make the biggest difference.
- Outside of teaching I love walking, weight training, cold water bathing, cooking, hiking and travelling. I’m a bit of a sun worshipper and love spending time in nature, and with my family and friends.
- I’ve been married for almost 25 years, have two children (young adults now!) and a dog.
- I also love an evening out or a weekend away with my girlfriends or my sisters.
